For example, in the PDF sandbox you might want to only allow the Reader to run and forbid all program to connect. In each sandbox, restrict the ´programs that are allowed to Start/Run and connect to the internet. Then, restrict each sandbox according to the program and/or purpose. You can do the same for your downloads folder, USB drives and CD/DVD dives. As you go, create sandboxes for most of the programs that you use often, including your EMail client, browsers, PDF Reader, Office programs. If I was starting using SBIE, those are really the only changes that I would do right away. To save files, you can use either Quick recovery or inmediate recovery. Sandboxie best weapon is deleting the sandbox on closing. Setting the sandbox to keep bookmarks is something that you might want to do right away. Read sandboxies Help topics, in there you ll find answer to many of the questions that you might have on SBIE. I see many people restricting their sandboxes when they first star using the program and that can lead to confusion. The settings here display and change that set of exceptions. In some cases, it may be desirable to make exceptions to this rule. I suggest that you use Sandboxie on default settings for a while, that way you ll be able to tell how things work differently in the sandbox once you start using restrictions. Sandboxie Control > Sandbox Settings > Resource Access Programs that run in a sandbox are generally not allowed to access system resources directly.
